In addition to tuition, the Halsey Fund provides a stipend for the recipient to cover the cost of round-trip airfare to the SYA school of enrollment. The Halsey Fund scholarship addresses merit and demonstrated financial need by covering tuition for a student who is both academically gifted and could not attend SYA without financial assistance.

Halsey is a true scientist and had published nearly 100 journals articles and several books throughout his career. Jeffrey Unger and Samantha Champeau were both awarded The Halsey Family Music Scholarship. Applicants who have completed their applications by February 12, 2020 and have been identified by the Admissions Committee as a finalist will be notified and invited to be interviewed by the Halsey Scholarship Committee.
If you are awarded a scholarship, the scholarship funds are mailed directly to the school indicated on your scholarship agreement prior to each term for which you have been awarded.
